Oceanport, NJ – Someday Farm’s Res Judicata took control right from the start, controlled the pace the entire way and kicked clear to a 3 ¾ length score in the Grade 3 Salvator Mile at Monmouth Park on Saturday afternoon.

Trained by John Servis, Res Judicata stepped the mile over a fast main track in 1:36.07 and returned $18 and $4.60 as the 8-1 longest shot in the field that scratched down to four runners.Allied Air Raid rallied to complete the $25 exacta and paid $2.80.It was another two lengths back to odds-on favorite Mr. Jordan, who was another half-length better than Nonna’s Boy.

“The instructions were to make sure his face stayed clean,” said winning jockey Nik Juarez.“He broke really well and we got to the front and over to the rail.He settled well and I was able to give him a breather along the backstretch and then asked him to go around the 3/8ths pole and he answered.”

A 6-year-old gelding by Servis-trained Smarty Jones from the Honour and Glory mare Mohonour, Res Judicata scored his first graded stakes score with the winner’s share of the $100,000 purse boosting his lifetime bankroll to $432,340.
