Rene Morety Takes August 26 Super Qualifier

Monmouth Park’s final handicapping contest of the live season was held Saturday, August 26 and the winner was Rene Morety of Jackson Heights, NY.
Morety bested a field that included 217 entries. He turned his starting $200 bankroll into $2,633.40 by betting races from Monmouth Park and Saratoga only.Contest players could only bet win, place and/or show and needed to bet a minimum of $20 per race.
By finishing first, Morety takes home the first place cash prize of $9,050. In addition, he qualifies for the 2017 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge (as does runner-up Nick Maiuri). Finishers 3-10 qualify for the 2018 NHC in Las Vegas.
