Monmouth Park held a $300 NHC qualifier on Saturday, December 9, and Bill Rendino of the Bronx, NY, finished in the top spot with a total of $1,906.10.  This was the second consecutive Monmouth contest win for Rendino, who also captured the October 6 contest.

Rendino bested a field that included 144 entries. He turned his starting $150 bankroll into the winning total by betting races from Aqueduct, Gulfstream and Tampa Bay.  Contest players could only bet win, place and/or show and needed to bet a minimum of $15 per race.

By finishing first, Rendino takes home the first-place cash prize of $7,050.   Rendino also wins a seat into the 2024 National Horseplayers Championship.  Second-place finisher Frank Gryboski  will be joining Rendino on his NHC trip.
