Levitt Finishes 1st and 4th in Pick Your Prize Tour de Force

Alan Levitt, a resident of Baltimore, MD turned his $1,000 starting bankroll into $10,797.50 to win Monmouth Park’s sixth annual $2,000 Pick Your Prize Handicapping Challenge on Saturday, June 12.

Levitt bested a field of 219 entries made up of players from over 30 states and Canada. Players participated on-track, plus through online ADWs TVG, 4NJBETS and Xpressbet.

For finishing first, Levitt received an automatic $14,600 and two picks from the Pick Your Prize board. With his two picks, Levitt selected the top cash prize of $10,500 and well as a seat to the 2021 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge. For his fourth-place-finishing entry – which finished with a bankroll of $6,896 – Levitt received two more prize picks. He selected two cash prizes of $6,300 and $5,500. Including his bankroll, Levitt walked away with $54,593.50 plus a seat in the $10,000 BCBC.

Levitt boxed three horses in a $100 exacta in Monmouth’s 13th and final live race. That winning wager returned $9,780, cementing his victory.

Saturday’s second-place finisher was Ken Seeman of Wantagh, NY who finished with a bankroll of $10,044.

All Pick Your Prize players were required to bet at least $200 on a total of at least five races from Monmouth Park. Bets could only be win, place, show, exacta or any combination thereof.

All players kept their final bankrolls. The Top 5 finishers received a guaranteed cash prize. The Top 5 finishers also received two picks from the prize board in order of finish. Finishers 6 through 26 received one pick.
