Jackie’s Disco Outsteps Foes in Friday Feature at Monmouth

Oceanport, N.J. – Patricia A. Generazio’s Jackie’s Disco took the lead from the start and never looked back, besting her ten rivals by a length in the $50,000 allowance feature for New Jersey-breds at Monmouth Park on Friday.
With Nik Juarez piloting, Jackie’s Disco stepped the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:12 4/5 and returned $5.40, $3.60 and $2.40 as one-half of the Generazio owned entry that included fourth place finisher Silver Majorette.Irie Mon rallied to complete the $80.80 exacta and paid $14.60 and $7.It was a nose back to Diamond Play, who returned $2.80 to show.
A 5-year-old mare by Mo Mon from the Disco Rico mare Disco Shaker, Jackie’s Disco now sports a record of 2-1-1 from ten career starts.
Live racing continues at Monmouth Park on Saturday, June 11.Gates will open early at 11 a.m. for full-card simulcasting from Belmont Park, which starts at 11:35 a.m. and includes the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes.Monmouth’s first live race is set for 12:50 p.m.
