The man is on fire!

Monmouth Park held a $300 NHC qualifier on Saturday, January 6, and Bill Rendino of the Bronx, NY, finished in the top spot (again) with a total of $3,874.50.  This was the third consecutive Monmouth contest win for Rendino, who also captured the October 6 and December 9 contests.

Rendino bested a field that included 108 entries. He turned his starting $150 bankroll into the winning total by betting races from Aqueduct, Gulfstream and Tampa Bay.  Contest players could only bet win, place and/or show and needed to bet a minimum of $15 per race.

By finishing first, Rendino takes home the first-place cash prize of $4,350.   As a double NHC qualifier, Rendino earns a seat in the 2024 Pick Your Prize Handicapping Challenge on June 1.  Second-place finisher Rocco Lombardi and third-place finisher Nick Fazzolari earned the two National Horseplayers Championship seats.
