Oceanport, N.J. – Mossarosa’s Biamonte will be looking for her fifth consecutive trip to the winner’s circle when she takes on six rivals in Saturday’s Grade 3 Violet Stakes on Monmouth Park’s turf course.

“She’s doing so good right now,” said trainer Eddie Broome.“We know we’re taking a shot here, but as good as she’s doing she deserves it.”

Dating back to March 18 at Gulfstream Park, Biamonte has visited the winner’s circle in all of her starts, most recently an easy length and three-quarters score on July 4 here.

“She runs her race every time,” Broome said.“I know she’ll do it again on Saturday, the question is how good is her best.”

A 4-year-old filly by Afleet Alex from the Woodman mare Indelible Revenge, Biamonte will be making her first start in stakes company in the 39th running of the mile and an eighth Violet.She sports a record of 5-1-8 from 19 career outings, good for earnings of $114,090.

“Pletcher’s horse (Isabella Sings) is the speed and the one to beat,” added Broome.“For us it’s a question of the pace set up.If someone wants to go out and press, it’s better for us.Either way, though, I know my filly is ready and will run her race.”

In addition to the $100,000 purse, black-type is on the line in the Violet, which has drawn six 4-year-olds and one 5-year-old.

Favoritism at 2-1 belongs to Isabella Sings, who is a three-time winner over the Monmouth Park turf, all in stakes.

The field for the Violet, from the rail out with rider assignments and morning line odds, is:

2.Biamonte (Jonathan Gonzales) 20-1;

3.Isabella Sings (Paco Lopez) 2-1;

4.Sycee (Edwin Rivera) 30-1;

6.Desiree Clary (Ger) (Brice Blanc) 7-2; and,

7.Tammy the Torpedo (Antonio Gallardo) 5-2.
