Inaugural Wine & Pizza Festival Set For Saturday And Sunday At Monmouth Park

The inaugural Wine & Pizza Festival, featuring eight wineries, four pizza vendors and a dessert vendor, will have a two-day run at Monmouth Park this Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26.
The list of wineries includes Wagonhouse Winery, Terra Nonno, Plagido’s Winery, Cedar Rose Vineyards, Villari Vineyards, Valenzano Winery, The Vinter’s Wife and White House Winery.
Pizza vendors are Pie Oh My, Doughbie Brothers Pizza Co., Culto Italiano and Woodshed Pizza.
The Zeppole Guys will have desserts available.
The Festival runs from noon to 5 p.m. each day, with wristband sales available from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $20 for unlimited wine sampling and a souvenir glass. Wristband sales the day of the event are cash only. Advance tickets, offering a 15 percent discount, can be purchased on seatgeek.com/monmouth.
Live music will be available both days, with Pez Head performing “On the Green” from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and All That Roxx taking the stage on Sunday. Family Fun Day activities, including clowns, face painters, a bounce house, pony rides and music, will be available on Sunday only as well.
The $100,000 Goldwood Stakes, for fillies and mares 3 and up at 5½ furlongs on the turf, headlines Saturday’s 12-race card. The $100,000 Tale of the Cat for 3 year olds at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf, is the feature race on Sunday.
