David Gordon of Long Branch bested 273 other entries to capture the second Simulcast Series Challenge Qualifier of 2014. In doing so, Gordon took home first prize of $13,700 and automatically qualified - along with the rest of the Top 20 finishers - for the SSC Finals on Saturday, April 26. The Top 10 finishers of the Sunday qualifier also took home cash prizes, while the top two finishers in the Finals earn a berth in the 2015 DRF/NTRA NHC in Las Vegas.
Gordon topped a qualifier that boasted a solid 274 entries and had players contesting races from Gulfstream, Tampa Bay and Calder - the last being a late substitution for a cancelled Aqueduct. Players needed to bet a minimum of $10 a race on a minimum of 10 races from the three tracks in win, place and/or show pools only.
