Kenwood Racing LLC’s Be My Love angled off the fence turning for home and wore down Trish’s Wish in the shadow of the wire to post a neck victory in the $30,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at the Meadowlands on Monday afternoon.
Trained by Stephen DiMauro and ridden by Paco Lopez, Be My Love returned $17.20, $9 and $5.20 in the field of 10 fillies and mares. Trish’s Wish completed the $203.40 exacta and paid $13.60 and $7.40. It was another half-length back to Bellaridge, who paid $3.40 to show.
A 3-year-old filly by With Distinction from the Untuttable mare Arealhotlover, Be My Love sports a record of 2-2-3 from 15 lifetime starts.
