Jay Eye See Rides Rail To Victory In Saturday Feature At Monmouth

Crossed Sabres Farm’s Jay Eye See shot through on the inside turning for home and battled Mutiny down to the wire to post a head victory in the $42,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park on Saturday.

            Trained by Marcus Vitali and ridden by Gabriel Saez, Jay Eye See covered the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:10 3/5 and paid $16.80, $7.60 and $3.80.  Mutiny completed the $81.60 exacta and returned $4.40 to place and $3.20 to show.  It was another three lengths back to Hippster, who paid $3.80 to show.

            A 3-year-old colt by Curlin from the Nureyev mare England’s Rose, Jay Eye See has won two of his nine career races.

            Live racing continues at Monmouth Park on Sunday, July 14 – gates open 11:30 a.m., first post 12:50 p.m.
