the gate and never looked back, reporting home a 5 ¾ length winner in the
$44,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park
Kelly John Breen, Smoldering Beauty set fast fractions of :21 2/5 for the first
quarter of a mile and :43 4/5 for the half before cruising home in 1:09 4/5 for
the six furlongs over a sloppy main track.
The winner paid $4.20, $2.60 and $2.10 as the favorite in the field of
five 4-year-old fillies. Heir Storm
completed the $14 exacta and paid $2.80 and $2.40. It was another length and a quarter back to
More Than Love, who paid $2.80 to show.
