OCEANPORT, N.J. – WinStar Farm LLC’s Cal Nation broke slowly, came with a three-wide run and ran down Glickman in the final strides to post a neck victory in the $44,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park on Sunday.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, Cal Nation covered the six furlongs in 1:10 2/5 and returned $3.60 and $2.20.  Glickman completed the $6.20 exacta and paid $2.40 to place.  Deliburnsky checked in third with Yo Koffy rounding out the quartet in the Sunday feature.

Ridden to victory by Joe Bravo, Cal Nation earned his third victory in eight outings.  The 4-year-old ridgling by Distorted Humor from the A.P. Indy mare She’s a Winner is a half-brother to 2006 Haskell winner Bluegrass Cat.
