When is Monmouth Park open?

Monmouth Park opens Saturday, May 11, 2013. First post is 12:50 pm. Racing Dates are posted under Racing > Racing Calendar. This year's Haskell Invitational will be run on Sunday, July 28.

How much does parking and admission cost?

General Parking and Grandstand Preferred Parking is $4.  Clubhouse Preferred Parking is $6.

Grandstand admission is $3 and Clubhouse Admission is $5.

Children 12 and under are admitted FREE.

When is the Haskell?

The $1,000,000 Haskell Invitational will take place Sunday, July 28, 2013.  On Haskell Day, admission gates open at 10 am; post time for the first race is 12 pm.   

 

What is the dress code at Monmouth Park?

In the Grandstand, shirts must be worn at all times. In the Clubhouse, proper attire is required: no swim wear, sweats, tank tops or abbreviated wear. In the Parterres, gentlemen must wear jackets and appropriate dress is requested of ladies (dresses, suits, pants – no jeans, cutoff shorts, or beach wear).

What activities are there for children?

Every Sunday (Memorial Day - Labor Day), noon to 4 p.m., is Family Fun Day at Monmouth Park. Starting “On the Green” and spreading all the way to the picnic area, you’ll find clowns, face painters, live music, pony rides, a bounce house and more. In addition, there is a playground in the Picnic Area and an arcade on the first floor of the Grandstand. Children 12 and under are always admitted FREE and Family Fun Day activities are free.

Is Monmouth Park open when it rains?

The races run rain or shine. The only exception is in the unusual case that the track conditions are unsafe for the horses and riders. In that event, the closure will be posted to our website. There's plenty of cover on a rainy day, so don't be stuck in the house, come on out to beautiful Monmouth Park!

What time do races end?

Live races typically conclude between 5:30 - 6:30 pm depending on the amount of races carded for the day. On a typical weekend day with 10 races, the last race concludes at approximately 5:30 pm.

Haskell Day (Sunday, July 28) is the unique exception with races beginning as early as noon and running until after 6:30 pm.

Where is the gift shop located?

Our gift shop is located on the first floor of the Grandstand.  

How can I purchase videos and photographs of the races?

Videotapes may be purchased through the Media Relations Department and photos from Bill Denver of Equi-Photo. Both are located on the first floor of the Administration Building, adjacent to the paddock.

How can I make a dining reservation or learn more about group outing options?

Do I have to get reserved seats for the Haskell?

Haskell Reserved Seats are available, but not necessary.  Reserved seats may be purchased by calling 732-571-5563 or visiting the Reserved Seating Booth (2nd floor Grandstand near Section 2). Tickets go on sale Memorial Day weekend.
