Years ago it was me, the love of my life and Monmouth. I saw and felt her love and passion for Horses and the sport. I fell in love with Horse Racing and Monmouth that day. I attend as often as I can, Haskell included. I'm a true fan.
i attend the park every saturday through out the season. i cant wait for fred to blow the horn, to start the horses to the starting gate. this is like hearing the star spangle banner, please remove your caps. the maintainence of the track is so breath taking. the sound of " there off" stimulates the mind,and to have a winner is like a thrill of a life time . even if it only pays $2.40. welcoming a great year.
I am a HUGE Monmouth Park fan... Waiting for opening day is like waiting for Christmas for me. Even though I am 41 yrs. old... I get my Daily Racing Form the Day before... Go over the Form, (It is like making my Christmas list of what I want). Instead it is picking the horses that can hopefully give me some extra money in my pocket... Also the Beauty of the track from the landscape, How you are so cose to the horse in the paddock area.. It is a Experience for all Jersyians to see.. Even if there not Horse Fans>>>
Monmouth Race track should be know as the Family Race Track. My family and friend's enjoy of good clean fun! Face painting and games, great food, horses, betting and great entertainment. The track is safe and clean, and one of the greatest places in the Garden State! Great job Monmouth!
I'm a loyal MP fan since the 1960's when the crowds on stakes days were 30,000+, jockeys came from NY by helicopter, and we frequently waited in long lines at separate windows to bet and cash tickets,,,,,,and we also came during the week to play the double and the claimers! Our family's favorite races are the MSWs where you can see young horses from top sires, stables and owners, and maybe catch a future star at good odds!
