Danny Lopez’s Geeky Gorgeous set a pressured early pace before kicking clear of
Salamera and all the rest to win the $75,000 Regret Stakes at Monmouth Park on
Saturday by 4 ½ lengths.
With Angel Serpa along for
the ride, Geeky Gorgeous covered the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:09
3/5 and returned $3 and $2.10 with no show wagering in the field reduced by
scratches to four runners. Salamera completed the $4.80 exacta and paid $2.10
