Park’s 2014 event calendar will be highlighted by a number of fan-favorite food
festivals including the now three-day Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival on
Saturday, May 24 thru Monday, May 26.
Held as a two-day event for the first time in 2013, the
street food celebration attracted nearly 33,000 a year ago. The festival has expanded to three days for
the 2014 season.
“In just two years, the food truck festival has grown
into one of our most-popular events,” said Pete Verdee, vice president of
marketing at Monmouth. “Now as a
three-day celebration, our fans will have even more time to come out and enjoy
an exciting, fun, inexpensive day at beautiful Monmouth Park.”
In addition to the Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival, Monmouth Park will again play host to:

2014 season will also see a number of new or enriched events:
Day, held last year on August 10, has moved to Saturday, July 26 and will serve
as the lead-in to William Hill Haskell Day.
Ladies’ Day will feature a hat contest and fashion show presented by
Lilly Pulitzer Shops at Riverside.
first-ever Heroes’ Backyard Picnic Celebration will take place Friday, July 4
and Saturday, July 5 and feature food, a “Red, White and Brew” Beer Garden
presented by Budweiser, live music, games, eating competitions and much
more. All service men and women receive
free admission and there will be fundraisers for local military charities.
Monmouth Park food festivals and other event days will see the
institution of the new 2014 Racing Ambassador program. These local volunteers will help educate fans
on all aspects of Thoroughbred racing at Monmouth Park
as well as provide tours of the paddock and winner’s circle.
Monmouth Park will be home to a pair of giveaways during its 2014
season. Coinciding with Grade 1 United
Nations Day on Sunday, July 6, all paying fans will receive a free Monmouth Park beach towel. On NJ Thoroughbred Festival Day, a free long-sleeved
T-shirt will be given away.

18 seats for the 2015 DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas, capped by the
10-spot Super Qualifier on Saturday, August 23.
