Isenberg Goes 1-2 in First Simulcast Series Challenge of 2014

Four days into 2014, Monmouth Park kicked off the winter season with the first leg of the Simulcast Series Challenge. A total of 191 entries were received for the $200 contest with wagering permitted on Aqueduct, Gulfstream Park, and Tampa Bay Downs. Players began with a $100 bankroll and were required to place wagers on 10 races at a minimum of $10 per race, Win/Place/Show only. The Top 10 players earned cash prizes while the Top 20 earned a spot in the SSC Invitational on Saturday, April 26 at Monmouth Park where two seats to the 2015 DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship will be on the line.

 

In an impressive display, Derek Isenberg of Haddon Heights, NJ took home both the 1st and 2nd place prizes and earned two seats in the SSC Invitational. The final standings for the remaining Top 20 players is as follows:
