OCEANPORT, N.J. – No one picked a winning combination in Monday’s Place Pick 6 at Monmouth Park, creating a carryover of $5,092.59 for next Saturday’s program.
The Place Pick 6 comprises races four through nine, is a 50-cent wager, and has a takeout rate of just 15 percent.
In order to win the wager, a ticket must select a horse to finish either first or second in the Place Pick 6 races. On Monday, a winning combination would have involved:
Race 4: Forward March ($5.40, $3.20); Dangerous Trick ($3)
Race 5: Gypsy Robin ($7.60, $4); Say a Novena ($3.20)
Race 6: Sweet Energy ($31.40, $8.20); Noble Charlotte ($8.20)
Race 7: Cadence King ($6.60, $3.60); Back Pocket Money ($4)
Race 8: Eur O So Bad ($12.20, $6.20); Captivating Girl ($12.60)
Race 9: K.R.’s Jazz ($115.60, $34.40); Believe in Dancing ($6)
The consolation payout for five of six first or second finishers in Monday’s Place Pick Six was $38.55 for a 50-cent wager.
Gates open at Monmouth Park on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with first post set for 12:50 p.m The fourth race, start of the Place Pick Six, has an estimated post time of 2:20 p.m.
Monmouth Park’s 2011 meet continues through Sunday, Nov. 6, with live racing on Saturdays and Sundays plus Monday, Oct. 10 (Columbus Day) and Friday, Nov. 4 (Breeders’ Cup).
