Emily Kyrillou Wins $500 Super Qualifier; Headed to BCBC

Monmouth Park’s $500 Super BCBC/NHC Qualifier was held Saturday, August 25 and the winner was Emily Kyrillou of Jersey City, NJ.
Kyrillou bested a field that included 210 entries. She turned her starting $200 bankroll into $4,182.10 by betting races from Monmouth Park and Saratoga.Contest players could only bet win, place and/or show and needed to bet a minimum of $20 per race.
By finishing first, Kyrillou takes home the first place cash prize of $8,500. In addition, she takes home a seat to the 2018 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge. Second-place finisher Charles Welch is also headed to the BCBC.
There were also eight players who won seats to the 2019 National Horseplayers Championship in Las Vegas.
